San Rocco – Turano

The parish church of Turano is dedicate to San Rocco, protector of the valley from the plague and it was built at the end of the XVI century,on a hillhock outside the village, using stones coming from the ancient castel of Bonifacio da Bollone,a ghibellini soldier. On the back, a cemetery defines the outer perimeter. The third sunday of august since 1984, it’s celebrated the “Festa del Perdono”.
