Sant Antonio Abate in Magasa

Dating from the XVI century, but rebuilt from 1739 and 1744, on the steeple erected in 1786, it reports under the clock the written «unam time horam».The flooring in red and yellow ammonitivo, from the quarries “Marmer” of Monte Denervo, is the only example in Val Vestino. Remarkable is the canvas of the “Madonna delle grazie”, it was donated to the community of Magasa by count Carlo Ferdinando di Lodrone in 1714. The first friday, saturday and sunday after the celebration of the patron Sant’Antonio Abate the 17th of january, it’s celebrated a feast in honor of “Santissimo sacramento” and in memory of the defuncts, during which 365 candles are lit during each of the three days. The triduum is managed by a confraternity formed by the Mayor,the Prior, the collector of the deads, two Triduari, two Petoc and two Petoche.
