The Val Vestino beans

The Val Vestino bean was also called “the pope bean”because it was really appreciated by the pope and the cardinals which used to travel to Trento. Native of Central America, was brought centuries ago to Val Vestino, where the microclimate allowed the natural selection of a unique and peculiar species that grows only in this area, never hybridized with other types of beans. The Val Vestino bean is an essential component of numerous dishes.
